Reebok cyber rider

I bought a second hand reebok cyber rider and it worked fine, now it's constantly got a stop on the computer bit and does not register, distance, speed etc but you can still change the tension. Does anyone know how to get it working properly again please? It is not the one with the start and stop buttons on.
