Plant Protein

Hi all,
I just tried a plant based protein shake with water. I have been doing whey or soy based protein shakes with half water and half almond milk. Is there a benefit to plant protein over whey or soy? I am consuming between 1200-1300 a day and I am looking for sources to increase my protein intake. I have no food allergies, but as a personal choice I do not eat much red meat.

Most plant proteins have less protein per serving than a whey protein. If you aren't vegan and have no allergies I would stick with whey. I am vegan, I prefer soy over pea/plant protein, bigger bang for the buck.0

I use a soy/pea blend shake from EAS. I use it because it was in the calorie range I wanted, and had minimal saturated fat, and no cholesterol. I am reducing my intake of dairy currently, and am already a vegetarian.0
