Anyone know where I can obtain accurate Calorie Burn information?

I've read that My Fitness Pal's are excessively high, I've been using healthassist.net; although I am uncertain of that website's accuracy as well.

Some entries in MFP are way off and some are reasonably close to something resembling reality. It's all a huge estimate and anything you get from a calculator or database is more of an estimate than other methods...there are just way too many variables.
A HRM is going to be your most accurate estimate for a steady state cardiovascular event...but you would still want to allow for estimation error there as well...your HR does not directly correlate to your calorie burn but the algorithms they use give you something more reasonable to work with than a calculator or database.0 -
cwolfman13 thank you very much, I'll definitely look into getting one. Especially since I often can't find the type of exercise that I am doing, to calculate it; so I just consider it to be Aerobics & use the most time that it takes to burn a Calorie.0
