How to track exercise calories

Options
I sync my Fitbit to this site, and enter all info on this site, which is the recommended way to monitor progress.
So my question is this:

I just did a 30 minute total gym workout. My fitbit says that so far today I have burned 626 calories. I understand that includes my basic resting rate, along with any activity (the workout).
When I look at the Exercise tab - it shows my 'fitbit adjustment' at 16 calories. So...if I log the actual exercise, does this then make my tracking inaccurate? Am I then giving myself credit for more calories than I've actually burned?

I'm trying to lose a couple of pounds (literally 2-3 pounds) and I'm wondering if this might be one of the reasons I am stuck.

Thanks!

If you are doing an exercise that the fitbit doesn't track well, you can record it on MFP as long as you have your fitbit synced with MFP. You have to make sure you enter the precise time you started the workout when you record it on MFP. It will then adjust accordingly, and you will not be double counting anything.

    Hope that helps.
