I apologize because I asked this before and I am still not sure what to do. I am 33 5'6" and around 150. I am on my third week of insanityy and I was told to up my calories to around 1800. Should my NET calories be 1800 or the actual calories I eat? I feel like I am eating a ton!! I am burning around 450 calories on Insanity.
Thanks!
Thanks!

What did MFP give you as a goal for 1 lb/week weight loss ?
1800 + 450 = 2250 eaten - 450 = 1800 net sounds potentially too high, depends on your TDEE estimate without the exercise.
Eat 1800 - 450 exercise = 1350 net is also possible, depends on your goals and TDEE.0 -
1800 sounds about right to me.0

Where are you getting your calorie goal from. The only reason you eat back exercise calories with MFP is because MFP is a NEAT method calculator (Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis)...exercise is extra activity when using a NEAT method calculator. So if MFP is giving you 1800 net calories as your goal, then yes...you should be eating most of those back. Otherwise....
If your calorie goal is coming from somewhere else, it's likely that you're NOT supposed to eat those calories back. You need to better understand what method of calorie counting you're doing. Your 1800 calorie goals seems like a TDEE method goal, in which case you would NOT eat back calories. Again, you need to better understand what method you are using to understand what exactly you should be doing.
NEAT method or TDEE method...which one are you using...that's what you need to figure out.0 -

If you are using the insanity guide to figure your calories, it already takes into account the calories burned by exercise, so do NOT eat back your calories if using the number in the insanity guide.0 -
MFP has be at 1300 NET calories for a 1lb weight loss a week. Many people have told me you need to up your calories while doing insanity. I have been doing the 1300 and I am stuck with no weight loss (although I also hear that is normal for your first month of Insanity)0

So I did my TDEE and it also says around 1800 calories. Is exercise already included in that? Should I net 1800?0
