Calories in Pancake Mix

When looking at the calories of pancake mix it says 1/3 of a cup is 180 calories. Are they referring to dry mix? When the batter is already mixed 1/3 of a cup only gives you about 1 5 inch pancake.
Thanks!

It should say on the box if it means dry mix or "as prepared" (if you have to add milk or eggs or anything), but as a general rule dry goods like mixes, rice, noodles etc. show the nutritional values for the dry, unprepared product. Also, if it gives you a quantity in grams as well as the 1/3 volume, try to weigh it instead of measure. It's easy to put too much in, even with cup measures.

my guess would be 1/3 cup prepared. The mix I use is by grams of a prepared pancake.

I quit buying mixes years ago and created my own
low fat and sugar recipe for waffles and pancakes.
You are welcome to the recipe if you would like to have it.
It's simple, easy to log and much healhier than the prepared mixes.
msg me if you would like to have it.
