I'm on a bulking diet at the moment, and almost always have started my mornings off with oatmeal in one form or another. It used to be that I would mix it with milk + protein powder, but recently I've come up with an even better solution - one that will take your oats to a whole new level.
I've been cooking my oatmeal in milk (2% lactose free for me), and then adding in scrambled eggs. Yes, scrambled eggs, with salt, pepper, dill, paprika, and a dollop of greek yogurt. Seriously, once the eggs and oatmeal unite they make the most creamy/divine/delicious combination imaginable! Make sure you do at least one WHOLE egg (yolk included), but then feel free to add some egg whites to up the protein values.
Let me know if any of you try this. Again, it's extremely versatile because you can add basically whatever toppings your heart desires. It makes a really savory and creamy breakfast, and the way I make it somehow reminds me a bit of mac n cheese.
Happy cooking!

So you are adding raw eggs to the oatmeal so that they cook together? Sounds interesting.0

That is very good with green onion & Sriracha in it, too!0

Add peanut butter to it. Good stuff.0

I don't add raw eggs actually - I cook them in a non-stick skillet then add them to my heated oatmeal. Works perfect that way, but I'm sure you could cook the eggs in the microwave as well. And yea, sriracha is great, as is peanut butter. Though probably not together0
