Has anyone tried these? If so how was it? I was looking at a juice cleanse that locally owned and there's several different options. 1 day, 2 day, all the way up to 6 days. I thought maybe start out with a one day and possibly move up from there or just do a one day once a month. Any thoughts?

No. Say no to the juice cleanse.

Unless your kidneys or liver are not working properly, you don't need to do a cleanse!!

Where do you people get that idea from? Is one person behind all these juice, cleanse, detox, starvation posts?

The company I looked into was actually featured on a morning radio show I listen to for their health week. The host said he tried it and it did wonders for him.

    Cleanse, no.

Adding juice to your diet? Sure.

I would say no to anything with cleanse or detox in the name.

Cleanse, no. Juice, ok. But better yet, don't throw away the fiber. Get a good blender like a Vitamix or Blendtec and get the benefits of whole veggies and fruits.

    Waste of time.

Sure, you might lose 5-10lbs after a week of doing a juice cleanse. But do you understand why? And do you understand why you'll gain it all back almost immediately the following day or two of regular eating?

My advice to you: Take the time to learn how weight gain/loss actually happens so that you understand what you need to do to reach your weight goals.

I think juice is brill! But I use a blender (to keep the fiber) which is a fantastic way to shove as much fruit and veg down my gob for the sake of natural nutrients, and if I detox as well, well that's just a bonus. It's just part of my day in terms of getting fruit and veg in, but detoxing is not my focus. The best part? I get movement three times a day (which apparently is a good thing). Otherwise I'm as bound up as a gimp.

Just NO. Eat your fruit and vegetables whole. They will keep you full- you might lose some REAL weight vs. cr@apping out your intestines on a "cleanse".

Not much to add here. Your liver and kidneys are perfectly capable of keeping you "cleansed" without any assistance from any hokey-pokey dieticians.
