I'm so tired of starting something with great intentions, and never following through.

Tonight I begin Week 3 of the C25K trainer. I want to finish this. I want to finish something. I cannot even begin to count the number of times I've started a workout program or other endeavour just to give up shortly thereafter.

So, I promise myself I will push through this, and not give up. I won't skip my time at the gym because I'm lazy or in a bad mood or because someone else made me angry. This is my time and I want this.

I've started C25K in March 2013. At first it was hard, I quitted and restarted it 3 times... Then, in the process I fell in love with running. I've run numerous races since then, including 2 marathons. Honestly, you can do this. When I started I couldn't run 15 seconds. I can now run 4 hours without a walking break. If I could do it, EVERYONE can!

My advice: If you REALLY want to do it, commit to a 5K race. There is a lot of local races pretty much everywhere, pretty much every weekends. People of all abilities run those races (15:00 minutes runners to 50:00 minutes runners). If you have a real goal down the line, it will help you to commit to your training schedule!
