OK, I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Since starting my weight loss, I've found my bathroom visits to be a lot less frequent, is this because I'm eating right and my body is using more of what I put in it? I realise I'm opening myself up to 'stupid question, stupid answer', but I'm curious.

less bulk= less movement your poo is mostly bacteria
also if you have decreased your fiber or water intake will result in less movement
also any major diet change will impact your GIT drink more water and let it even out over time
if you are straining try not to and sort out the cause or you can hurt yourself / its not nice
have a good night good luke with your tummy0 -
Oh there's no trouble, it's actually a much more pleasant experience now that I eat better, just wondering why it doesn't happen so much lol, thanks!1

i have ibs and i feel like when i eat healthier, my tummy also likes me better aswell.
i go maybe once or twice a day, which is awesome.0 -
Trying to be as PC as possible...lol
Personal experience:
Lots of changes in stool volume, eating less junk....obviously less comes out.
Eating more roughage (salad-raw veggies) is always good.
There is Lots of bacteria down in your gut that helps us digest things
Changes in diet take time to manifest themselves in your gut as differing types of bacteria eat different things and live or die based on what they, or more aptly, we are eating
But yes, to answer your question and echo the other replies
Drink lots of water
Eat good fiber every day
A little coffee never hurts to keep the machine going too.0 -
And by the way, the only stupid question is the one left unasked
If someone is asking something, they genuinely are seeking understanding1 -
haha opposite for me!!!
I am always running to the bathroom.. High fiber + High water + chai seeds + coffee = need bathroom located IN my office.. not across the hall. LMAO0 -
I am the opposite! I stopped drinking soda, now drink only water and its like holy crap, this is what it feels like to be regular!
I cut back on junk, upped the fruit and veggie intake. I went from goat pebbles to being so proud I want to show my husband (i don't).0 -
Same here. After 3 weeks caloriev counting I went from a few times a day to every other day. I feel great!1
