Outdoor Elliptical Bike?

I saw someone yesterday riding an outdoor elliptical bike. I had never seen one before, but it looked like a lot of fun and a great workout. Has anyone tried one of these? Are they easy to maneuver? Here's a picture like the one I saw in case you're like me and have never heard of them before.
