We went away to Mass from yesterday to today for my mother-in-laws wedding, which was VERY nice by the way!

Anyway, I knew we were leaving around 9:30 yesterday SOOO I actually got to the gym by 7:15 and worked out REALLY well. I ate pretty light all day and just enjoyed the wedding. I didn't calculate everything but with the calories left over plus those earned exercising, I think I was ok!! :)
The two biggest splurges were the lobster roll and the carrot cake! (I split a small piece with my son....and ate more of the cake part, rather than the frosting! LOL! AND the lobster roll was just fresh lobster on lettuce, etc...no mayo.

There was plenty of healthy fare to snack on...hummus with pita and carrots, etc...fresh fruit, there were baked beans, but not the fatty kind. Just good food. It was classic New England food (at least the lobster roll and baked beans!! LOL!) I ate without worrying too much, but far from goring myself. I am happy to realize that my own "common sense" about food is improving!

Anyway, we got home today and I was exhausted from the trip, running around after my toddler, sleeping in a hotel with weird heat....BUT, we got home with about 75 min to spare before the gym closed and I RAN there and got another good workout in.

So, I am POOPED!! Completely worn out...but feel great that I pushed myself to get to the gym BOTH days despite traveling, wedding, etc etc. AND that I had self-control with the food.
