Trying again!

I am struggling to get healthy and I'm really not good at motivating myself. I have always blamed it on the fact that I really need people, friends, to hang out and do things with. Now I am starting to think a little differently. I really need to be able to motivate myself, because I need to be responsible for me. I just had some blood work done and it shows my cholesterol is high, and my blood sugar is a little high. I really want to get the weight off and these areas under control. I have never been good at taking medications and I don't want to start! So how do I motivate myself?
