I am 67 and I burn around 500-600 calories a day and I am eating about 1700 calories...MFP gave 1380 to eat.....I am hoping for success ;)

the reason I am asking is that I have previously lost 32 and regained 7 and I have lost 1 or 2 pounds and then back up 1 or 2 so I am trying different numbers....I play golf with a nurse and she said your eating too little eat about 1800 calories..I decided 1700 cause I am scared..scoobycalculator gives me 1800 also so I will see what this will do

Wishing you all the best. Am a bit younger at 52 and have been here since 2011 and have lost weight from 268lbs down to 110lbs, it sounds as though you have a sound exercise program perhaps making sure you keep in mind the importance of maintaining muscle through a good strength training regime. Wishing you continued success.

I was eating 1900 calories a day when I was in the weightloss mode, for a consistent loss of 1/2 pound per week. I'm 68, 5'6" tall, and lift weights 3 times per week for about 65-75 minutes. On other days, I walk for 20-30 minutes. I also did zumba for an hour once a week when I was losing, but i stopped that when I switched to maintenance.

I hope you do have great success!
