TDEE formula

Which TDEE formula does MFP use? Checking out this site
http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/
I get a TDEEs of 2421/2638/2225 (using a body fat percentage from my Tanita scales)
at a 1lb per week goal my calorie target is 2020, yet if the last TDEE is closer I should be targeting 1700.
Would I just try the 2000 for a month or so and adjust down if goals not being met?

It actually uses the NEAT formula, which you have to add your exercise calories to. If you want to follow TDEE, take 10-20% off your number (probably the former, as that low a number sounds like you don't have much to lose).0

2000 sounds like a good starting point. IMO it's better to eat as much as you can while still losing weight.0

That's the thing though, I have at least 5 stone to lose (70 pounds) im currently 240 @ 5 foot ten
I used the sedentary setting, as I track exercise separately and eat back a percentage (to allow for inaccurate burn) if hungry0 -
MFP uses BMR calculations not TDEE.0

I prefer to use this calculator for TDEE, I find it to be less confusing

That one gives TDEE 2423 - 1938 target calories, which closely approximates to MFP, so I'll breathe easier for q while - Thanks0 -

In many ways the adjustment part based on your results and also how sustainable your deficit feels is far more important than your initial goal.

You are about my weight. My daily calorie goal is 1600 and my average weight loss is 2lbs per week.0
