Hey Everyone,

I am slowly getting a lovely cold (yay first of 2015)

what are your favorite "feel better" foods? (recipes are always appreciated)

for me its a giant bowl of minestrone or chicken noodle soup :)

Hot tea. Not a food, but definitely comforting.

Heh, I was just sick on Sunday and still recovering on Monday. It turned out to be oatmeal, weirdly enough. I knew I was getting better on Monday night when I finally thought "I'm sick of oatmeal." Normally it's soup, and both minestrone and chicken noodle are up there.

Usually when I'm sick, I get cravings for pure "junk food" and sweets. If I end up eating meat, I get sick and chuck it up.

    Weirdest thing ever.

Chicken stock. I make up a batch in the crockpot anytime I have chicken bones left over, and freeze it in single-serving portions. I sip it from a mug anytime I'm feeling poorly. Or anytime I'm starving and know I need to not go crazy eating everything in sight ;)

Weirdly, prawn sandwiches. This is probably because my granny always took good care of me when I was sick, and prawn sandwiches were her favourite. Also, a nice sugary cup of vanilla tea has always helped. And grapes.

Chicken soup and ginger tea does it for me.

Yeah, soup for sure. Or stew. Or chili. Some type of one pot meal with a sauce or broth.

Not food but I love a good tea or black coffee. It always goes down nice and smooth and makes me feel all warm
