Athlete/Mom Looking to be Healthier and Stronger - looking for friends?

I just joined MFP yesterday with the goal of making healthy eating a habit for me and my family as well as maintaining a strength training program. I know I can do better with what I eat and what I provide my family so I'm hoping MFP will keep me motivated and accountable for eating the right foods. Being a working mom of 2 sometimes I feel short on time, but that shouldn't be an excuse, I know I can do better.

I generally do a lot of running, train for long distance triathlons, so cardio-wise I do well. I tend to neglect strength, so my 2nd goal is to focus on strength for 30 days while at the same time improving my eating habits.

I enjoy motivating others as well so if you're looking to motivate or be motivated send me a friend request. I think it's a lot more fun to take on a journey with others.

    I'm on the same journey and same goals. Neglected strength training last year during HIM training and my performance reflected this. I also gained weight, so hopefully MFP will keep me in check.
