go to the gym, ask one of the staff for assistance. They will be happy to get you started on a simple, easy to do program. You can modify it as you get more experience.0

Lift weights, heavy is preferred. High rep low weight increases muscle endurance, but doesn't actually give the long lean look most people are looking for. Also, you'll need to reduce your body fat so the muscle is visible.0

Getting toned is the result of decreasing body fat, which reveals the muscle underneath.
Eat a moderate calorie deficit to lose fat. Strength train to preserve muscle. Starting Strength and Stronglifts 5x5 are good beginner programmes. Get a trainer for a couple of sessions to show you how to do the lifts safely.0 -
