I didn't use coconut oil before each meal, but I took it in pill form at night before bed. I have a thyroid disease and had inside scoop that it could help your metabolism and actually had great success with it. I'm currently on a plan requiring fish oil vs. coconut oil, so I'm foregoing it through this program, but will probably pick it up again on the other side.
In short, I didn't have such large swings in my weight between night and morning anymore, if I did slip up and binge or something, I wouldn't gain 12 lbs (exaggerated) only 1-2. I really loved how my body felt on it.0 -
I use a tablespoon in my coffee in the morning. Such a yummy treat. I notice how much more energetic I am when I have the oil vs I dont. I also do oil pulling, but that's a different story0

I use it occasionally for cooking, but more often as part of my meal-replacement coffee. 1Tbsp coconut oil, 1-2 Tbsp heavy cream, 1 scoop protein powder, blended w/ coffee and sweetened to taste.0

Success... with what? with eating coconut oil?
Coconut oil doesn't help with weight loss. Calorie deficit does. I use coconut oil to fry things sometimes, sometimes in baking.0 -
I use coconut oil to take off eye makeup, and occasionally in baking. That's about it. Don't believe th woo. It's not magical.0

Does coconut oil have to same magic as green tea? if you believe it. It must be true?0

I cook with it. Because its a heavier fat and sautes at a higher temp without burning.0

I made bulletproof hot chocolate this morning. With chocolate protein powder, raw egg, coconut oil and butter. Don't know about the benefits. But oh so delicious! !!0

While I don't believe coconut oil is a "miracle" treatment, I do believe it has various health benefits for some people. I have a Tbs of coconut oil every night. Usually in hot water with lemon or coconut/almond milk with a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder. I factor it into my daily calories and skip it or reduce the quantity if it'll bump me over. I have noticed a difference on the days I cut it out.

I brush my teeth with it sometimes. I also cook with it but I don't think I could fit the calories into my daily plan before every meal.0

Don't believe the hype. It's just oil, not magical.0

Coconut oil has been shown to have some antimicrobial and antibiotic properties...some dentist recommend it to reduce the amount of bacteria in the mouth.0

I put coconut oil in my coffee in the morning. I'm not a breakfast eater but need need some fat for when I take my vitamins. Surprisingly, it's not bad (I say this because I drink my coffee black.)0
