Question about sugar

How important is it to try to adhere to your sugar macros if you're getting them primarily from fruits and vegetables? My daily calorie goal is 1340 and it's set at 50 grams of sugar, which is hard not to exceed if I eat pretty much any fruit. For instance today I'm already over from eating:

a few grapes (8g)
tomato sauce (12g - really just canned diced tomatoes and tomato paste with no added sugar)
zucchini (4g)
half a protein bar (11g)
a cup of cereal (5g)
ginger kombucha (4g)
red pepper (4g)
cottage cheese (4g)

Just curious how much attention I need to pay to this. I still have about 400 calories left today, for example, and I'm wondering how important it is to try to find foods with no sugar or if it's not a big deal to go over if it's from fruit and veg sources. Eg. I may want to have cherries and some dark chocolate, both of which are not low in sugar, but are relatively healthy snack choices in small amounts otherwise.

The restriction is for added sugar, otherwise your good to go.

So do some people typically just disregard the sugar macros for fruits and vegetables and just keep track of the calories?
