Hello Im 28 and a female im 260 and my tracker says to eat 1300 calories a day to lose 2 pounds a week, any other girls out there around same weight and calories? I'm trying to see if it's accurate I had someone tell me to eat 600 but thought that was insanely low, the Jillian Michaels site said for me to eat around 1600. So confused! Thank you in advance for your help

I'm 100lbs lighter than you but I'm grossing 2000 calories. My goal is not nearly as aggressive as yours, though. I personally don't recommend staying at your calorie goal for longer than a few months max.
Your calorie goal is only accurate once you've eaten to a goal for a while to monitor your actual results. So others your weight may eat 2200 calories, or 1800, or a scary 1000. Pick a reasonable number, eat it for a while, monitor losses, then change the goal if needed.0 -
600 is way too low. At your weight, you could probably eat way more than 1300 to lose weight. It may take some playing around with your calories. Eat back some exercise calories, or change your rate of loss to 1lb a week to be able to eat more.0

JM Site seems to be a reasonable amount.
I started at around 260lbs. Now I didn't start tracking calories until after I lost 30lbs, so I can't say what I ate then. I can say that since I've started my average intake has always been close to 2000 calories. Even now (155.6lbs this morning) my average intake for the last 30 days has been around 1835.
600 is dangerously low and would be very unhealthy.
Honest opinion, you should try to eat the most you can and still lose at a reasonable rate (1-2lbs per week). There is no reason to make it any more difficult than it already is.
edit: Here is a chart I made in 2013 that compares my intake to my weight loss-
Around the time this chart ends, I found out I was pregnant with my second child. I didn't start tracking again until sometime between May 29 and Sept 11 of 2014.

I'm 195lbs and eating 1200 calories to lose 2lbs a week. I have lost 10lbs in 21 days so 1300 calories for you should be fine.0
