Hey there, my name is Katrina and this is my first time trying Myfitnesspal.
I have never been a very fit girl, I got my stocky build from my dad, so weight tends to linger on me. When I started college, I gained the freshman 15, and slowly but surely the weight kept coming until one day I didn't recognize myself.
The other day, I had one of those moments when you look in the mirror and you realize you just aren't happy with yourself. It wasn't just how I looked, it was how I felt. I want to gain back the confidence I used to have. I want to not be afraid of taking a picture because I might look fat. I want to be able to wear jeans without a muffin top. Most of all I want to feel happy in my own body. Right now I feel trapped, and I need some help to get to where I want to be!

  • Hi everyone. I am a surviving heart surgery patient. I had open heart surgery in august and was looking for a program that would help me track my food so I could see where I need to change. I may know where I need to change, no chips, more veggies and fruits, but it is a challenge for me. I love fruits and veggies but after the surgery I couldn't eat them without becoming physically ill. I am slowly coming back to being able to eat them. I am starting to eat more oranges and bananas. My background is not food related for my heart though it is hereditary, my mom and brother both passed from heart attacks. So I am trying to exercise more, I am graduating from cardio rehab exercise class this Friday. I admit I smoked cigarettes for about 10 years in my 20's. I also smoked marijuana for about 5 years, not a lot though since it made my heart palpitate very fast. I am trying to lose about 15 pounds. I lost 10 since the surgery, but I would like to lose another 15.

    Hi!

I would definitely be interested in linking up and supporting each other.

I have put on 30 kgs since having my son 2 years ago. I'm not sure what that is in pounds, I'm aware that most people on this forum are from the USA.

I have tried many things in the last 2 years including one shot at MFP. I'm really hoping this is the time for me! Would love to share the journey with some others in similar situations.
