Fitness watch, HRM, calorie counter...!?

Hi
I would like to be able to more accurately monitor how many calories I am burning when exercising but there are so many products on the market!!
Can anyone recommend a watch or HRM?
Im most interested in calories burnt, I know some have GPS but I'm happy with my nike running app to track distance. Some sports I play I can't wear a watch during, do you have to wear it or can it sync later? Is a HRM not uncomfortable?
Any recommendations would be great!

Let's start at the beginning. What activities do you do that you want to track? From there, people can give informed advice on what, if any, devices can come close to accurately estimating your caloric burn.
