Hi All,

I'm Karen and I'm finally using this! I signed up about 2 years ago - but truly wasn't serious about losing weight - and I let this lag.

In 2014 my sister was getting married - she asked me to be her Matron Of Honor... I kinda freaked out. I was a size 24 and not feeling my best. So, I signed up for Medifast and started their 5 - 1 program. It does work - but just not for me. I felt SO deprived and sick. I think I lasted about 3 weeks. But I did learn... smaller portions, water water water and eat 6 times a day. At David's bridal, they didn't have a dress to fit me there - so they measured me. When the dress came in ... about 6 weeks later... I was shocked. I had to have it taken in about 1 1/2 inches on each SIDE. I went down to a 20-22!!!! The wedding went off without a hitch and I felt great... however... that's not the end.

I now am wanting to go all the way. I started exercising - small amounts every day. I am eating ALOT better, no soda, water. I'm now down to an 18. I rewarded myself by buying a new spiffy workout wear from Lane Bryant... in an 18!!!!

There's no stopping me now... I have a goal - by the end of 2015 - I want to be down to a 14.

Thanks for reading!!!!

I am new here and still getting to know the site. Great job getting back an 18! And congratulations to you sister.

I have really never dieted and I eat fairly healthy choices. But I have a desk job, love sweets and do not exercise... so the weight has slowly crept up over the years.

The this last year it rocketed up and I went from a 14/16W to an 18 to BAM a size 20. And my weight had never gone over 200 except for pregnancy and now it has :-( After visiting the doctor I am in decent health with good blood sugar, cholesterol but high blood pressure. I am now on meds for that which is motivating me to lose some weight.

I am focusing the food aspect first and doing some walking for exercise. Food journaling here has been eye opening LOL

If you want another buddy - friend me!
