chicken raw vs cooked

i bought 1kg of frozen chicken packet said ,there was 1.01kg (900 cals, 180 protein)
once i cooked it went down to 640g

how do i log this? as 1kg or 640g of chicken

    I always log as raw. The water content (and therefore weight) will drop when you cook an item, but the amount of calories in it won't!

    If it's a bone in chicken breast, chop that bone off obviously.

    There will be less calories after it is cooked because some of the fat and whatnot will drip off it.

    Weigh before hand, it is easier anyways. Just keep everything clean and wash hands and all surfaces after you handle raw chicken.

    I always put in the search, the words: cooked, no skin, no bones, and then what part it is - thigh, breast etc. then find the entry that matches the closest.
