I subscribe via FB to the MFP Hello Heatlhy feed for the daily recipes. You can also find it under the Blog tab. I often try and use them but am finding differing calorie values. To give you an example. Today there is a feed with the headline "15 Easy Slowcooker Recipes under 375 Calories". The first one that grabs my attention is the Honey Garlic Chicken. (see link below)

@286 Calories per serving

When I copied this recipe into the MFP Recipe calculator it comes up with a calorie value of 571 Calories per serving. And Yes, I did check the quantities and ingredients matched. So, who do I trust. The recipe as laid out in the Blog or the calculator on MFP?

    Wow. Thanks for pointing this out. I saw that mail too and was thinking about pulling out the slow cooker--- good to know I should check the calorie accuracy.

    Could be the matched ingredients are different or off, there are a lot of inaccurate foods in the database unfortunately...and did you make sure the number of servings matched?

    Edit - I just read the blog post and it did say MFP calculated it at 8 servings rather than 4 as the original recipe is written.

    Thanks for pointing that out. I will be more careful to check that in the future.
