My name is Derek and I just started using the myfitnesspal website I think its a great tool, I weight lift 5 days a week, but it doesnt show that you burn calories, only when you enter in some type of cardio training....is this right or do I have my defaults set wrong? So when I hit it hard in the gym for 30-45 min it would be nice to see some of those calories added back on the home page. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!

There's a help topic on this, but the program doesn't register caloric loss on strength training because it can't take into account things like rest periods.
There is a "strength training" entry under cardiovascular exercise, but that's a rough estimate.

Do you use a heart rate monitor? If you do, just put the calories in under cardio. Strength training or circuit training entries are good estimates without the HRM.0

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
