O.K. we all have them and as of late I have been using bio oil and cocoa butter now my hubby says the marks look lighter but I was wondering if any former bigger ladies I mean ladies who have lost 100 plus pounds have had any success with any oils or creams and what about saggy skin I mean I am pretty big and I am worried that my skin may sag did anyone here have any problems with that or did exercise keep it all pretty tight?
yes I know I spelled stretch wrong I didn't catch that til after I posted and have no idea how to change that

Its not a cream or oil but heavy weight training and time can help with tightening skin. There are several members that have seen improvements with this, especially when you combine it with the creams and oils.0

I saw no difference when using bio oil. I think i have diminished my excess skin with the resistance training i have done pretty much from the beginning - that said I do have excess skin - just dont think its too bad considering how much weight I have lost0

You have youth on your side. If you lose it slowly, use a good moisturizer (I like cocoa butter), and do some strength training, you will be just fine. Good luck to you.0

Another vote for the weight training. Honestly, I haven't actually tried any oils or creams. I've read about several kinds but they just don't seem for real. From my belly button up, I've been absolutely floored by how much better I look than I expected to. I still have a bit of the bingo wings, but much less than I expected. I don't have giant muscles or anything, but I have some pretty good definition on my arms and back, and it seems to have just pulled a good bit of my lose skin tighter. I think it is the connective tissues pulling tighter, more than it is my muscles getting bigger. I was lifting pretty heavy when I started because I thought I needed to build muscles as large as I could. I since have decided it probably wasn't necessary to go so heavy.
Lower body looks a bit sadder, but still way better than my active imagination feared. I don't have a pretty stomach, and my thighs jiggle and are floppy, even with the best muscle tone I've ever had. But I promise you it is much better since I started doing weight training.
The oils and moisturizers, as long as they don't have yucky ingredients, won't hurt you, and some of them smell really good. But I think you'll be very impressed with yourself if you try some lifting for a couple of months.0 -
I had mild success using bio oil on one scar, and coconut oil on another--they were recent scars, though. They faded to white, but didn't disappear or anything. I don't know of anything that isn't surgery that will actually remove stretch marks or do away with excess skin. Like the others posting here, I'm also a believer that lifting heavy helps with loose skin.
You're young--lift weights, drink your water, eat well. You'll look fantastic. :drinker:0
