Hello everyone. Anyone do Planks in their workout routine?? And do Planks work??

    I see plenty of people do them at the gym. So yes, people do have them in their workout routines.

    Do they work? For what?

    They are a good training tool to teach people how to stabilize their core and teach the awareness of an aligned torso. That's a great benefit for use in more productive movements such as squats and deadlifts.

    Options
    A lot of people use them for "core stability," unfortunately they serve little benefit. Some beginners can benefit from them as a strengthening exercise, but once you can hold alignment for 20-30 seconds, it's time to move on.
