Weight gain and cystic acne after yaz

I'm not sure where else to post this so hopefully it's ok here

I was on yaz for ten years. I decided last spring to get off because of the migraines. Since then I have horrible cystic acne and have gained 30 pounds!! I have been exercising 5 days a week with a trainer and following a plan from a dietician. The scale won't budge! I am only eating at home so I don't have to guess at calories. I'm drinking 100 oz a day of water. No alcohol, caffeine, packaged foods, restaurant food, drugs or cigarettes. I have also gained cellulite all over my thighs! I have tried everything for acne short of going back on yaz and accutane.

Any idea what I can do? I'm getting really depressed!

I was on yaz to help with acne and had to get off in October due to blood clots in my lungs, what has helped me is not trying too much products, I cleanse twice a day with purpose gentle cleansing wash and tone twice a day with Paula's choice 2% bha regular strength liquid. In the morning I apply a pea size amount of Cerave moisturizing lotion (not cream) and I do not moisturize at night because I have oily skin. Also twice a week I apply the 4% bha foam that Paula's Choice carries. It takes a little while to notice progress, I would also recommend an antibiotic like Minocycline to go ahead and stop and treat the acne. If that all fails then try acne.org, which is like Proactiv, this worked for me but is kind of damaging to the skin.

I have had some very bad acne breakouts since stopping Yaz last year. I think it's the extra testosterone that I'm not used to.

Is your acne mild (fewer than 30 lesions), moderate (30-120 lesions), or severe (120+)?

If it's mild or the low end of moderate...try something OTC.
I've tried a lot of things for the acne. My best solution so far is taking a multivitamin (zinc and B vitamins are good for eliminating bacteria) and using Clinique acne products with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Hormonal acne is notoriously hard to treat. If OTC methods don't show an improvement in six to eight weeks, see a dermatologist.

As for weight loss, talking to your dietitian would be your best bet for getting good advice.

Unfortunately, there's no easy or quick fix for either problem.
