Arggh, Food diary reflects calories saved by exercise, but not weight training.
how many years will it take for My fitness to calculate calories burned from weight training?

Why not get a Heart Rate Monitor ? it will be more accurate than anything on here

Go under the cardiovascular and search for strength training. It's there. The other area is for you to keep track of what you did. Sets, reps, weight.

    Not so for weight lifting.

It is really hard for anyone to tell how many calories you burn while lifting, let alone MFP. It is minimal though.

There is a weightlifting option under cardio. It's not a huge burn, but hey....

Confused, why wouldn't a Heart Rate Monitor be accurate in weightlifting ?

nevermind, I just googled it. I never counted strength training of any sort when counting calories

Heart rate and calorie expenditure is not the same when doing weight lifting as when doing cardio, which is what the HRM is based on. If you're doing circuit training with weights it would be more accurate.

Yeah, I didn't either. When I started I would just allow for the over estimates MFP gave for cardio, and not log the weight training. It worked.

    That's what I do too.
I figured approximate is better than nothing, right?
