Anyone having an issue with a newer model Polar FT4 HRM?

I got a new Polar FT4 HRM for Christmas. My previous model (also a Polar FT4) finally crapped out after nearly 5 YEARS! I never had an issue with the old model dropping heart rates or being finicky based on what exercise I do. The new one is different. I noticed that as long as I'm standing up straight when doing cardio or strength training, it's fine. If I bend over in any way (for some yoga exercises, to do ab work or pushups), it drops the heart rate drastically and I know it's not right. I've been on the phone with Polar customer support and they seemed to act like they've never heard of these issues. They sent me a new receiver for the chest strap. It helped a little, as in it's not as finicky, but I still can't do any floor work. Just wanting to see what others have experienced.
I just need a basic HRM that shows me an accurate reading no matter the workout and shows me calories burned. If anyone has another recommendation - feel free to share!
