Calculating Subway Calories

I'm trying to calculate calories for the Subway Steak & Cheese sandwich. The website gives calorie counts based on the "standard recipe" which apparently doesn't include cheese. However, "cheese" is in the name of the sandwich. Does anyone know if calorie counts include the cheese in this case?

If you go to the item page (http://www.subway.com/Menu/Product.aspx?CC=USA&LC=ENG&ProductId=133&MenuId=35&MenuTypeId=1) and click the yellow "Calculate Yours" button below the nutritional information, you can customize the nutritional information.

For sandwiches with Cheese in the name, I believe it's included.

Edit: I just tried with and without cheese in the Calculate Yours - without cheese, you get the same nutritional info as the generic. So no, it does not include cheese.
  • Thanks for doing the leg work! That seems pretty misleading to say a sandwich which features cheese does not include cheese as a standard item. I guess this whole calorie counting journey is full of footnotes.
