Please help me set a realistic 6 wk goal!

March 30th I was 172.2lbs.
As of May 31st (yesterday) I'm 162.4 so just shy of 10lbs lighter. I've done this by **averaging** 1450-1600 calories/day and getting at least 30 min of activity 4-5 times per week.. sometimes its a long run, a long walk, or even just push ups/lunges/ squats/ crunches at home.
My GOAL is 150 lbs. I was hoping to do this by August, but my schedule this next month is going to be crazy. I'll basically be in "work-mode" from 7am-7pm M-F, then come home and have to study for a big licensure exam for at least 2-3 hours each night.
I was hoping you all could help me set a realistic goal for the next 6 weeks..
With what I've been doing I've lost about 1lb per week... which would be fine and put me at another 6lbs loss by July 12th... but I just feel like 1lbs is a little "slow". Then again, I am fairly close to my ideal weight and I've heard its harder once your closer- but I'm not sure. Is there something you think I should change that might yield better results? How much weight should I aim to lose over the next 6 weeks?
Thanks!:flowerforyou:

IMHO, a pound a week is perfect. I have been doing that since Jan 1 and am down 26 pounds. I am very happy with that. Good luck to you.0

Thanks and good luck to you as well!
The first couple weeks I lot 2 lbs... then the weight loss stalled... but then it started back up at about .6-1 lb each other week.
I guess as long as its moving in the right direction I should be happy..0 -

I think short term goals work best. I was in maintenance mode for 6-7 months but im slowly falling off the wagon, not in the working out part of my routine but summer's eating is a killer.......that and the wine
I really need to tape this mouth of mine shut for a week or so!0
