for most of this month i did ok,
i just went a little high on 1/7, 1/15, and then today (1/23)
the rest of the time ive been around 1200-1500 calories/day (im 5/1 small framed, female)

today, i did ok but in the afternoon i started feeling hungry, usually i bring a small snack like a banana but today i was at the beach and there wasnt any healthy food around and i forgot to bring something, i ended up buying a corndog on a stick, maybe around 250-300 calories, this was around 3:30 pm in the afternoon, then i had about 200 calories left for dinner
i had a chicken patty burger for dinner, some fruits
but i still felt hungry
the chicken patty was kinda rubbery im not sure if it was processed

im not sure why suddenly today i felt so hungry

i know i shouldnt have eaten the chicken wings from seven eleven at 10 pm today but i felt so hungry, and not for fruits but for chicken. i did a banana test like could i eat a banana and feel full, and the answer was no, but i could feel full after eating chicken or some kinda meat or protein. and then that went another 550 calories

i was out with some friends, who had stopped by jack in the box and i didnt buy anything, but a friend offered me a mini churro and i ate that, then we stopped by seven eleven, at first i was just going to buy some coffee but then i got sudden cravings for chicken

what do you think the trigger(s) were? it could have been the following
-coke zero yesterday (i didnt drink that much, maybe only a third of a cup but i normally dont drink any diet drinks at all)
-the rubbery chicken patties from trader joe's
-smelling the food from jack in the box
-corn dog today (not healthy, the past week ive been eating almost entirely clean and maybe this sudden trigger to something not healthy triggered it?)
-the churros my friend offered me at jack in the box

it seems like every week i have one day where i eat almost 1000 above my normal calories and the other days are fine, but im worried because 1000 is a lot and cancels the hard work i did on the other days, and it could go above 1000 as it has in the past, once i went over by 2000 calories

I can't be around fried chicken and not want it :-( at the daily calorie goal you have every calorie counts- I think maybe eating the sweet churro stimulated your appetite/blood sugar so when you smelled/saw chicken you craved it. the 300 calories in tootsie rolls and chips for instance is 1/4 of your calorie goal and neither will fill you up/satisfy beyond the taste/comfort of eating them. the corn dog probably didn't do the trick either- at least not for long.
maybe make out a menu plan - we're doing that in a group I'm in - where you plan 'even' meals as far as veggie, protein, carbs, etc and maybe add in some greek yogurt for protein..I try to do oatmeal for health reasons but homemade healthy breakfast burritos seem to satisfy me more for about the same calories. I think it's the protein. I also get hungry if I eat a lot of fruit by itself.
I also have a 'mental list' of what foods to order at several restaurants. jack in the box and sonic are among the hardest for me - dq too.
