Is it alright to use the cross-trainer everyday (at home.. so, I don't have more options) for an hour at a resistance level between 18-21 & in aerobics mode? I want to reduce my lower half of my body & make it look LEAN not muscular!
Let me hear your suggestions & experiences!
Thanks everyone!

Its no problem to do that, just be aware that you can't reduce fat in a particular area by exercising it. It might tone it up and improve the muscle strength in that area but where you lose weight from is determined by your genetics not by which bit you exercise. Plus and elliptical is not going to make you "muscular" assuming you mean chunky.0

Exercises that focus on a specific area of your body will absolutely target and tone it. With a proper diet, you will most certainly lose fat in that area over time. Genetics do indeed cause fat to be stored in different places for different people, but when you place your body at a caloric deficit, it will begin to use these fat reserves to supply the energy you need.0
