This morning I had Banana, crunchy peanut butter and local honey on brown toast. I kept seeing pics of it on health and fitness blogs but since I thought I didn't like ANY of the ingredients on their own, I didn't think I'd enjoy them all together. How wrong I was, it's SO delicious, I might be having that for breakfast more often.

Earlier in the week, I was messing with protein levels in my diet, trying to add more. On our usual chip shop night, instead of getting a cone of chips, I got a battered piece of haddock. Now, I realise it's not the healthiest food in the world but calorie tracker says it's around 240 calories, WITH the batter. I can't believe that so I pulled the batter off and threw it away (but tracked it the same). I couldn't believe how good the fish tasted with NO sauce, or salt or vinegar and no batter. Usually I hate eating fish and meat - the texture is usually too much for me to stomach but this was lovely AND it's fairly high in protein too. I'll be having that again too. I might even try steaming some fish at home, see if that's anything like as good.

What foods have you moved from 'food hell' to 'food heaven'?
