Arms are getting too muscular......

Now before anyone jumps on me with the whole "Women can't get big by lifting heavy" stuff. I'm not claiming to have huge Man arms. But I do tend to build muscle easily & my arms, especially my biceps are bigger than I personally like. When I pick anything up or move my arms a certain way all I hear from people are "look at those guns" "wow you have such big muscles!" that's all well & great if you like that look. But for me personally I prefer a much leaner look for my arms. So how would I go about reversing this? Should I just give them a break for a while? Do half the weight I normally do & a few extra reps? Also I know any upper body workout I do uses my arms, so this would mean going lighter for everything like back & shoulder workouts for example?
