Logging Exercises

Hey everyone,

I am very active all week long with running, lifting and soccer. I have noticed most people advise not logging exercises but I intend to create a calorie deficit through activity alone.

Are the calories burned inaccurate? What can I do to improve estimations? Heart rate monitor?

Also, during soccer pick up games I maintain brisk jog for the majority of the time. Never get to full sprint. Do I consider this casual or competitive?

Me personally, I don't log my workouts. I find it to be inaccurate cuz you can easily under and overestimating. There by cheating urself. Depending if I'm trying to lose or maintain, I watch my weight and adjust my eating accordingly. For I am also active, more weeks than others

Where are you seeing most people say not to log exercise? Caloric deficit is necessary for weight loss. If you don't know what you're burning, how are you supposed to come close to knowing what your deficit is?
