Hello to everyone,
My name is Ricardo, I'm from Portugal (thus not a English Native Speaker, so forgive my grammar and syntax mistakes) and I have 28 y-old.
Only this week I found Myfitnesspal on the social network Reddit. I decided to give a look and since my first look, i like it very much, so that I'm logging all my food and exercises since day 1.
Since early age that I'm overweight, since before going to college to my first year in University I became obese weighting 105Kg (231lbs). On that time i move to another University and only by running each morning before classes along with playing football on weekends with friends I reduced my weight to 62Kg (136Ibs), never in my live I was so thin. I became so happy and self-confident, it was amazing. But with the pressure of exams and after my graduation and post-graduation, than i started to work, i increase in weight, living like a true Yo-Yo. Gaining weight than making a diet, again and again.... but to be honest never again I reach the 62Kg mark. Now I'm with 95Kg (209lbs), and to be honest with all of you, I'm tired of being this Yo-Yo, and since my 62Kg mark i really want to come back to those times, and never gaining weight again.
I know that is hard but not impossible, my biggest problem is the needed motivation along with the ascetism and self-control that a diet needs. On the contrary of that time when i reached the 62kg mark, I think that now I cannot do it again alone, only by myself. I now feel that sharing with others, on similar situations that mine, and trying to reach a goal with others is one of the key aspects that can help me reaching my goals.
Thanks for listening,
My Best Regards,
Ricardo
