The only things you 'shouldn't' eat are foods that you don't like or food that is spoiled/rotten.
Stop thinking of food in terms of good and bad, it's all just food. Everyone has a different definition of 'healthy'.0 -
I mostly eat carbs but that's said to be real bad for you I could live on toast and cereal I've lost a lot of weight but this last 18 pounds won't shift no matter what I do im thinking should I have less calories in a day or eat healthier food to the amount I should have ?0

Unless there's a medical reason to (diabetes/PCOS/celiac), you don't need to watch carbs, just your total overall calories. You'll probably need to take a look at your logging to see where you can clean it up.0

Congrats on your loss to date! Make sure you eat the calories MFP gives you and focus on getting more protein for muscle-preservation/overall health reasons, but macros do not matter for weight loss.
And you will probably be losing less as you get closer to a healthy weight.
Good luck!
ETA: Do you like eggs? I find that omelettes are a great way to get more vegetables in. You can also use it to put in sandwich meat/cheese and cut out the bread that way, if you feel that you would like fewer carbs.0 -
Eat everything in moderation. Stay within your caloric allowance. Thats it.0

Thankyou everyone I never go over calories always less or spot on , hopefully with the help or jogs, bike rides and gym it comes off quick does anyone recommend slimming pills or not just seen some of those called burn bullets to burn fat quicker ?0
-
NO! Slimming pills and burn bullets are not a good idea imho!
Just eat a bit less if you've been on a long plateau.
Those last few pounds will come off slowly.0 -
No slimming pills. Eat some nutritious foods and move more. No magic pills for weight loss.0

This.
And forget the pills. They do nothing for you but empty your wallet.

If you're wanting to eat healthier as opposed to just having a calorie deficit, make sure your carbs are in whole grain or higher fiber form (100% whole wheat toast, whole grain cereal, brown rice, etc.) and eat fruit rather than drinking juice. Make sure your meats are lean and eat more poultry and fish than higher-fat/different fat beef and pork. Use healthy fats like olive oil and eat small servings of nuts like walnuts, almonds, pecans to get their good fats and fiber. Try to up your colorful raw veggie intake. Greens and carrots, broccoli, etc. provide lots of fiber (and vitamins and minerals) which will satisfy you while not being high in calories. Just think about eating as close to the form the food came from nature as possible for the most part and it will be healthier for you. But you also need to remember that the last lbs are almost always the hardest to get off, so it's not just you. Upping your exercise and maybe ticking down the calories a bit can help. Good luck, and way to go on getting down to the last 18!0
