Bit Late For Resolutions, But...

hi everyone.

Well, this is it. This is my "Day One". I'm Paul and it all starts here for me. Day one of my new regime. I made an absolute pig of myself over Christmas and need to lose about 10kg of fat.

Not sure how that will translate into weight loss though, as I want to build lean muscle at the same time, so if anyone has any advice on what I should be measuring I'd be really grateful.

Tape measure and body fat calculator rather than bathroom scales maybe?

Anyway, the plan is to kick start it with a couple of weeks of Slimfast, then after 2 weeks switch to proper healthy meals and maybe the 5:2 plan. Again, any advice is welcome.
