one calorie weight gain!

Hi!
so tonight I ate back all my exercise calories which I normally don't bother doing, and for dinner I had wholemeal pasta with a vegetable and tomoato sauce type thing and wasn't sure how to log it, so im sure it wasn't logged properly. anyway, I went over by a calorie, and as I said I normally don't even eat these exercise calories. basically im worried its going to ruin my week and make me gain by next weigh in :P thanks for any help!

1 single calorie is not going to have any effect.

yeh, I realize, but as I said, im not really sure its completely accurate, because im not sure I logged dinner accurately, (actually im sure its not accurate) also, as I don't normally eat back my exercise calories I was worried this might have an effect of whether I gain this week, :P

Your cals are set to lose weight, ie if you are aiming to lose a pound a week its set to a 3500 decific across a week. Even if you go over your calories (and I have some days) you will not gain weight. Even if you went over your calories by 100 each day you still wouldn't gain weight that week, you just won't lose as much/ you will lose slower.

NOTHING you log is completely accurate - no item of food, no exercise, it's ALL estimates.

I think you're stressing out unnecessarily.

Really? You're supposed to be in a caloric deficit of at least 300 of your maintenance, but probably 500 under maintenance , how could one calorie possible be a harm. It's. not like you're eating 2 calories under maintenance and went over by one, bc if you ate 2 cals under maintenance then you just wouldn't lose weight.

Some days I eat 200 cals over, some days I eat 200 less. I continue to progress

3500 calories = 1 pound. So unless you eat 3500 calories over your TDEE, you're fine.

Came here to post this. It's one calorie and there's a deficit already built into your goal...

You are supposed to eat back your exercise calories if you follow MFP's calorie advice.

The OP did, but the daily total went over by one calorie and they now wonder if that extra one calorie will scupper their weightloss for the week.

I think, the OP is just playing with us though.

hahaha well this caused a lot of controversy didn't it!
sorry about the clearly stupid question guys!! :P
im new to calorie counting and such and have no idea how it works to be honest!
thank you to those who have reassured me though! I didn't know mfp had worked out the deficit and all that, I thought my calorie goal was the BMR !!
and to those who got a little too excited about the fact that it was a shockingly silly question, uhh, thanks? and don't stress about it too much! :P
