VivoSmart Active vs MFP Exercise Calories Question

I was wondering why I am am receiving the following discrepancy... Garmin Shows consumed of 1162, Active of -118, and a Net of 1044. MFP Shows Consumed 1162, Exercise +213, for a net of 1375. I was under the impression Garmin would send its active of 118 to MFP so the active calories from Garmin, and Exercise Calories from MFP would be the same.

Any ideas or posts elsewhere about this?

    Go to your exercise diary
click the " i " that is next to where it says Garmin Connect Calorie Adjustment
Look at the tiny print under the calories burned from Garmin Connect

My guess, is that the last time the 2 sites synced was sometime a few hours ago. I have had this happen a few times and it is usually corrects itself after awhile. For example currently my adjustment is 4 hours outdated (5:45 pm....and it's almost 9:45pm).

That being said, I have noticed that Garmin sometimes has 50-100 more active calories than MFP has exercise calories with my adjustment included. This of course means that Garmin will show me having 50-100 calories more than what MFP does. I have no idea where that discrepancy comes from.
  • Thanks! That answers it.
