Calories and Exercise

I am really new to the calorie and exercise counting and want to be sure I am doing this right. I have been working out or doing yard work almost every day and even ran/walked a 5k this weekend. My question is I guess is-when you enter in all your food and then your exercise and there is a deficit does that mean you are eating too little or just doing a good job?? I really need to lose weight but I also want to do it in a healthy way. I got a Nutribullet from my son for Christmas and am trying to really work in some more veggies. My Son will be getting married in May and I am trying hard to lose the weight and tone up. Thank you for your help.

It is actually good to have such a deficit because there is some overlap between the food calories and the exercise calories. If you eat what you're allocated prior to exercise, you'll do alright, but you wouldn't go wrong by eating more.0
