Special occasions. How do you handle?

Portion control. Unless the special occasion is a competitive eating contest, it's pretty straightforward.0

I just enjoy it. Life to short to worry about over eating for a day.0

Say I had to eat 700 calories over my daily allotment bc I went to the Cheesecake Factory and my gf was mad at me for making her look fat by not eating appetizers and stuff.

Special occasions are like any other occasions, I eat healthy but won't deprive myself something NOT healthy if it fits in with my calorie goals0

If it's an event with lots of variety, like a family affair or buffet, I take tasting sizes of everything I might like and try them. The things I really enjoy I get a small serving of. Going out for brunch or dinner at a restaurant I order what I really want and find a way to fit it into my calorie goal for the day. If I can ask myself if it's worth it and honestly answer yes I'll find a way or be over one day. I have just stopped eating things that aren't worth it so I have a bit more room to play calorie wise...no more soggy fries, salty veg, or tasteless bread just because it's there.0
