How do you reward yourself?

How do you reward yourself during your weightloss/fitness journey? (Looking for non food type rewards.) How often do you set goals? What types of goals do you set for yourself?

For me the weight loss is the reward.

For some, buying new smaller clothes may be the reward.

My reward is what my legs look like and seeing the pretty GPS maps of my runs.

Working toward a mini-vacay that includes bikinis and hot tubs helps. Getting a new hair cut, or massage is good too. A fitness goal can be its own reward - running a 10k or something similar that you can be proud of. Or trying something new that you were too intimidated to try before - bungee jumping, sky diving, mountain climbing, etc. Or a fun getaway with friends for a paintball tourney would be awesome too.

For rewards, I've done things such as massages, manis/pedis, new clothes or shoes, a nice dinner out with the husband, or a new haircut. Once I finally get to where I want to be weight-wise, I am planning on getting another tattoo.

I set a weight-loss goal every 2 months, to coincide with when I do measurements with my trainer. Along with that goal, I have several different fitness goals I have set, such as running a 5k, lifting a certain amount of weight with a specific lift, etc. With those goals, the accomplishment itself is the reward.

Of course, the best rewards have been simply becoming stronger and healthier, getting off some of the medications I used to have to take, and having more energy to do things with friends and family.

I don't know.. I'm not much into the reward for weight loss thing. It triggers a "good girl/bad girl" mentality for me. If I lose I'm a "good girl" and if I don't I'm a "bad girl".

I reward myself every now and then because I deserve nice things, regardless of weight loss. Both food and non-food rewards. Some of my non-food rewards: new video games, clothes, going to the movies, trips to locations I like, window shopping, visiting our friend's farm, shoes, tech gadgets, and more.

As for goals, they are usually weight, fitness, and measurement related. Having multiple streams of goals keeps me motivated because even if it's a while before I reach one type of goal, another will be reached.

My weight goals are weights I used to be at certain memorable times in my life, like when I was in college, high school, that trip that summer, when I was with that boyfriend...etc. My fitness goals are more structured, to run a certain distance, to do a certain number of pushups.. etc. My measurement goals are usually for the next size down in clothes.

I don't really set goals, other than the big overall goal. I don't really even have a true goal weight- I'll have to see when I get there. That said, I don't allow myself to buy clothes unless I need them. If I rip a pair of work pants, obviously I will replace them. Otherwise, when I'm down two sizes or so, I go on a spree at Goodwill. I typically buy 2-3 outfits that fit, plus 2-3 pieces that are too small to hang up on the wall as goals to get into (so I guess I do have goals!). Once those pieces fit, rinse and repeat. When I first started losing, I'd put $1 into a jar for every pound I lost. Whatever spare change/singles were floating around my wallet went in there too. That was my shopping money. I've gotten out of that habit, but I think it's time to restart!

I agree. Anybody that knows me knows what I will say my reward is...I reward myself by looking at myself naked in the mirror. The results are a reward in themselves for me.

Clothing, necklaces, music CDs, cute shoes, naughty lingerie. I am hoping that by the time I've kept it off for a year I will have saved enough money to get more tattoos done. XD I want some phoenix spirals around the dragon that's on my right shoulder.

... I guess my next goal is to get below 120 so I have some "wiggle room" and to be able to lift 10 more lb on each machine.

I don't do small rewards - feeling/looking better is good enough for me. If it's not for you, that's okay! You can do things like pedicures, manicures, massages, professional photos, exercise gear, etc.

I also think it would be fun to put a dollar in a jar for every day you log in, and log your food. When you hit a goal, take that money and go buy yourself something. If you skip a day, donate what's in there to a charity and start fresh.

My ultimate goal when I get this last 16 pounds off is my first tattoo. And I'm going to buy my weight lost in food to donate to a local food bank (about 85 pounds).

Yes! Tattoos are the best reward. If I can lose 25-30lbs by my birthday this summer I am going to get my first tattoo. I have 6.5 months to get 'er done.

I like to buy new workout clothes - it's kind of a reward and extra motivation rolled into one :) I would love to try Fabletics, but pretty sure it would be WAY too easy to spend $ that way.
As far as goals, I focus on taking progress photos and measurements regularly, and just aiming for a certain physique.

I'm with those who like to buy new workout clothes. I found cute tops on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/187549130/i-run-because-i-really-like-food-tank?ref=hp_mod_rf and recently took advantage of a 50% off active wear sale at Old Navy. Ink is my goal weight reward as well!
