At 18-19 I had pretty bad cellulite for someone who wasn't overweight by BMI and was young. Things that improved it for me (bear in mind, there's still a bit, but I'm MUCH happier):
- Losing weight (I lost about 20lbs), it came off fairly proportionally so I remain a slight pear shape, just a smaller, tighter one. I kept a small deficit and mainly tried to reduce portion sizes of high calorie foods and carefully pick a range of healthy options which filled me up for longer.
- Building muscle through a mix of weighted lunges and squats (several different types), hip thrusts, donkey kicks and some pilates/yoga type exercises mainly. I started off swimming when I decided to stop being so bloody sedentary, and I do think that helped.
I tried gels, creams, skin brushing, cutting out caffeine/alcohol/sugar, but none of that worked for me. I now no longer allow myself to spend ages in front of a mirror staring at the parts of my body I don't deem perfect. One thing that really does reduce the visibility of cellulite is fake tan - spray/slather some on your legs and be amazed at how much smoother they look.
This is greatGood for you!
