I know that shoveling snow is considered exercise, but what about sliding and playing in the snow. I was sliding with my 2 year old granddaughter yesterday, having to carry her up the hill along with the sled. I was sweating and out of breath, so I know I was getting a work out, but I am not sure what to enter it in under exercise.

What is considered exercise is up to you. Some people log everything they can, some people only log intentional workouts, some do a balance somewhere between the two.

While I'm sure it was some type of a workout I wouldn't know what to log it as. Personally, that is one of those activities I just chalk up to being a few extra calories burned. Our calories vary everyday no matter how accurate we try to be. Some days we overestimate a bit, some days we underestimate. Little extras like that help balance in our favour.
