Working towards my first ever 5k

Hello my name is Chrissy. I have had MF for over a year and never took it serious until the 12th of January this year. I have since then started eating healthier and been working out doing cardio exercises for around 35-45 min a day at least 5 days a week. I am working towards my weight loss goal of around 80lbs and am looking forward to my first ever 5k. I am not a runner by any means nor have I ever cared for running but and really wanting to try this in 8 months. Gives me time to work hard and have a deadline ( in a way ) Looking for friends that are motivated like myself to keep each other on track.
